The Eureka! Awards represent the renewal of an established tradition among the region’s financial institutions and their partners in business development.  Successor to the Penny Awards, the PennJerDel Chapter of the ABA Marketing Network’s long-standing recognition of financial marketing excellence, the Eureka! Awards program recognizes and rewards outstanding marketing efforts on the part of financial institutions and their vendors.  The process of encouraging excellence in marketing of financial services has been an important focus of the Chapter for over 30 years.

“Great marketing is the result of financial institutions and their supplier partners clearly identifying goals and constructing compelling work that shows results,” noted Gary Zenker, Vice President of Marketing for First Financial Bank and 2005 Eureka!Awards committee chair. “In a highly competitive market like ours, some efforts rise straight to the top. We want to ensure that efforts producing measurable goals and successful outcomes are recognized for both their achievement and ability to inspire us all.”

“The Eureka! is the award specifically recognizing exceptional financial marketing efforts in our region,” noted Abby Siegel-Greenberg, President of the PennJerDel ABA Marketing Network Chapter. “We are working hard to ensure that the Eureka! is the most valuable award to be won by a financial marketer—in any sized institution—in the tri-state area since excellence is not limited by size of budget or geographic footprint.”

“It is important,” Zenker emphasizes, “to recognize that marketing gold can be struck by marketers working at all levels of financial marketing since brilliant ideas and awesome results are independent of an institution’s size and budget."
